Our Approach to Trauma Therapy in BC
At Sage Bloom Counselling, we understand that trauma can leave deep emotional scars, but we believe in the power of healing. Our approach to trauma therapy aims to provide you with the tools, support, and understanding needed to navigate your journey toward recovery—at your own pace. This starts with a safe, compassionate, and confidential space to heal.

We strongly believe that trauma therapy is not one-size fits all, it should be tailored to your unique experiences and needs. And this means honouring you as the expert in what is right for you.
Trauma is complex, and so we often use a variety of modalities in our treatment of it. Some of the evidence based trauma therapies we use include: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

Engaging in trauma-informed counselling is a way to safely and with guidance, heal from your experiences. Together we will explore how trauma shows up for you, your story, deepen your understanding of it, and start healing.
