Hi there, my name is Emily Johnston, Canadian Certified Counsellor, and I offer EMDR therapy online through out BC. 

EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that can support healing from trauma, anxiety and many more mental health difficulties. 

Our Approach to EMDR Therapy in BC

At Sage Bloom Counselling, we use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as a powerful, evidence-based tool to help clients heal from trauma, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. Our approach to EMDR therapy is grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of how trauma impacts your life.

EMDR therapy is designed to help you process and heal from past traumatic experiences. By using bilateral stimulation (typically through eye movements, sounds, or taps), EMDR therapy helps reprocess distressing memories and emotions, allowing you to shift from being “stuck” in the past to experiencing healing.

EMDR therapy doesn't require you to share in detail your past traumatic experiences. In this way it can feel like a less intimidating trauma therapy.

Who can benefit from EMDR Therapy?

If you experience: PTSD, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Phobias, Childhood Trauma, or Low Self-esteem. 

Can EMDR Therapy be done online?

EMDR therapy is just as effective when done in online counselling. 

Is EMDR Therapy covered in BC?

Counselling is not covered by the government. However, many plans do cover the cost of counselling. 

In acknowledgment of this barrier, we offer low cost counselling.
